Thread & Treasure Trade

EVENT - Treads & Treasure Trade Sunday 26th October 12noon to 3pm

The Thread & Treasure Trade: Official Rules
I. What to Bring (The Quality Check)
The success of the swap depends on the quality of items brought. Please adhere to these standards:
* Condition is King: All items must be clean, undamaged, and in good, usable condition.
* Clothes (Threads): Must be washed and neatly folded. We welcome vintage and pre-loved clothing, shoes, and accessories.
* Books, CDs & Media (Pages): Must have intact covers and spines.
* Antiques & Oddities (Treasures): Must be structurally sound and free of dirt.
* Item Limit: Please bring a maximum of 3 items to ensure a high-quality selection and a manageable check-in process.
II. The Exchange System (Tokens)
We use a simple token system to ensure fair trading across all categories:
* Check-In: Upon arrival, your items will be assessed at the "Valuation Station."
* Token Assignment: You will receive colored tokens based on the item's type and value:
   * Copper Token: Most preloved clothes, accessories, and simple books & cds(1 Token).
   * Silver Token: Higher-value clothes - like vintage and new clothes hardcovers, or media box sets/ cds/ records(2 Tokens).
   * Gold Token: Unique oddities, true antiques, or designer/high-quality vintage pieces (3-5 Tokens).
* The Exchange: You can spend your tokens on any item on the swap floor. You can always use a higher-value token for a lower-value item (e.g., a Gold Token can cover two Silver items), but you cannot combine lower-value tokens for a higher-value item.
III. On the Day
* Browsing & Trying On: Please be respectful of the items and the display areas. Use the designated changing area and mirrors for clothes.
* Final Say: Once an item is exchanged for tokens, No returns or token refunds.
* Leftover Items (The Donation Rule): Any items left un-swapped at the end of the event will be stored for future swaps and donated to MLAF. By bringing items to the swap, you agree to this donation policy.
