With fast fashion moving so fast, tonnes of clothes and accessories that are still completely wearable are being thrown away after only a few wears or worse, completely new. In Ireland only, around 110,000 tonnes of textiles are being wasted yearly including 42,000 tones of clothing, often incinerated or sent to landfills. 

But environmental waste isn't the only problem; there is also a loss of connection.... With trends changing all the time, people are finding it hard to discover their own style and end up with a closet full of clothes that don't feel like them. Clothes, objects, and accessories were once treasured and passed down through generations, making them valuable to you, your family, and history. 

At Peach Vintage Clothing, we believe that fashion should be durable and bought intentionally, not just to follow a trend. We wish to celebrate craftsmanship, protect at our own scale our beautiful planet and help you build a wardrobe that allows you to express who you really are! 

Our mission is simple, through circular economy, we want to reduce textile waste and make sure that clothes are loved to the fullest, prioritising products of quality that have character and sometimes a story to tell.

The Circular Fashion Economy.

In contrast with traditional fashion, which involves buying, wearing and finally throwing away clothes that still have lots of life left in them, circular fashion prolongs a product's usage for as long as possible, potentially changing its shape and upcycling its material. 

The circular fashion economy follows three key principles:

  • Durability: Products are designed to last! 

  • Repairability: Items are made to be easily repaired to extend their lifespan!

  • Recyclability: Materials can be safely disassembled and reprocessed!

By choosing circular fashion, you help reduce waste, support sustainable innovation and reduce the use of vital natural resources such as energy and water.

Buying secondhand or vintage, taking care of your clothes and passing them down to new owners or upcycling them into new products is part of this sustainable cycle.

How Peach Vintage contribute ?  

Peach Vintage collect gently worn or brand new clothes that still have plenty of life in them and are ready to find a new home. Here, clothing, accessories and homeware pieces are rescued and resold at lower price, all while respecting the true value of every piece.

Katie, the owner, goes one step further by collecting fabrics meant for the bin and upcycling them into unique new pieces that you will love!

Peach Vintage also hunts for real vintage treasures often lost in the depths of wardrobes, bringing them back into the light so they can be loved just as their designers intended.
