Seven Days, No Plan, and a Backpack Full of Purpose
Share
In seven days, I’ll be walking the Camino.
I’m flying into Bilbao, and I return from there seven days later—but where I’ll start walking from, I haven’t quite decided. Some people would be horrified by that. No fixed start point, no booked accommodation, no carefully highlighted guidebook in hand. But the truth is, this is exactly how I’ve done most things in life: led more by instinct than itinerary.
I like the unknown. It has a way of revealing things to you that certainty never could.
There are so many paths. I could start from anywhere. That’s both the beauty and the burden of it.
But maybe that’s the point. I’m not just walking for myself. I’m walking for something I deeply care about—Munster Lost and Found, a small rescue charity that reunites lost animals with their families, and gives second chances to the ones who’ve been forgotten.
I’m building a GoFundMe as I walk—a way to turn each step into something that matters. Maybe people will donate to "sponsor" a day. Maybe someone will follow along who’s needed this kind of rescue themselves—animal or human.
Because sometimes, we’re all a little lost. Sometimes, we just need someone to come looking for us.
So I’ll arrive in Bilbao with a few ideas in my head and a soft plan in my heart. The rest will happen as I go. I’ll follow signs—literal and otherwise. I’ll walk toward what feels right. And I’ll carry the spirit of loved ones both human and animal along with me.
If you want to follow the journey or donate to the fundraiser, I’ll be sharing along the way.

This walk is for the found, the rescued, and the ones still waiting.
